Pequannock Watershed Hiking Permit

****PERMIT REQUIRED to hike in the Pequannock Watershed area.

Permits are $12 per hiker, per calendar year. Apply at the Echo Lake office to get your permit (carry with you) and a parking decal. Office hours, directions and permit info on the Watershed site.

There are also very specific rules regarding hiking during hunting seasons, such as only hiking after 1pm Mon-Sat from Apr-May, and Sunday only hiking from Oct to Dec. We’ve posted the 2009 Rules here.

There is a map on their site, and they give you a copy with your permit but its not fantastic - you really should have the NYNJTC Map set for these trails, “North Jersey Trails” – it’s much easier to read and has the permit areas shaded.
