NJ State Park Pass

NJ State Park Pass – Image from nj.gov

Some New Jersey parks charge fees from Memorial Day to Labor Day. (Island Beach State Park charges year round).

Consider buying the NJ State Park Pass if you visit one (or more) of these parks often. It will save you money over paying per visit. The $50 pass is good for the calendar year and grants you entry into any of the parks that charge.

Crunch your numbers: The pass is a good value for most people, but it does depend on how often you visit parks that charge. For example: a visit to one of these parks on a weekend averages $10, so if you go just 6 times during the season, the pass is a bargain. (It also works as a motivator to get you outside if you’ve paid for a pass!) If you go less frequently, then it may be more cost effective to pay-per-visit.

For more info, visit State Park Fees and Services. (the pass info is at the top of the page, and the current park list and fees are at the bottom of the page). The list is replicated here for convenience, but please check the site for the most updated info.
