This theme for this month’s Cairn is “get going'”.
Kammok Burro Hip Pack
Lightweight and waterproof (material feels a tad odd) hip pack. The roomy interior is orange so it’s easy to find contents. Smaller zip pocket on the back.
This is big enough to carry the essentials such as a water bottle (holds a 32oz), snacks, wallet, phone, keys, and a first aid kit.
This design seems slightly different than on their site – these straps aren’t removable which is a bit of a bummer. It would be easier for it to double as a toiletry bag for trips.
Humangear’s GoTubbs are fantastic. They are so easy to open yet stay securly closed.
I have a set of the larger size to make little portable kits of whatever tidbits I need. Then it’s easy to move them around to whatever pack I’m using.
These smaller sized GoTubbs will be perfect to stash things like Ibuprofen (hiker’s “Vitamin I”) or earplugs. Other uses: change (fits quarters), spices for camping or travel, jewelry.
Bar made from a blend of macadamia nuts, peanuts, and dark chocolate. It’s Keto-friendly so it is high fat.
One 210 calorie bar contains 16g of fat with 4.5g of saturated. We haven’t tried it yet but for that much fat it better be tasty.
Update: Taste is ok, Tom liked this better than me. But it’s very oily from the nuts and I’m glad we split this with a coffee at home instead of toting it on a hike.
