Harriman – Ramapo Torne – Counter-clockwise

Hiked:

4.9 miles. Steep scrambling sections. Nice views 360 views at summit, including NYC, would be be especially nice for fall foliage. Downside is that you see roads and 287. Cold but clear sunny day. Leaf clutter made trail a little slippery in spots.

From main visitor center, follow RED at the end of the lot for a brief time, then Seven Hills BLUE to ORANGE to BLUE to WHITE back to lot.

The first part of BLUE is easy and level then climbs up. ORANGE climbs steeply up, with some fun scrambling sections. Summit of Ramapo Torne is a good snack spot, albiet windy.

Continue on ORANGE, it briefly joins BLUE then veer LEFT to follow BLUE (SEVEN HILLS TRAIL). Steep drop down then steep scramle up to Torne View. Continue with BLUE to hit WHITE, mostly easy back to car.
