5.7 miles out-and-back (including walking to overlooks, and around Ghost Lake area). Moderate, rocky trail. Two rocky descents; and the route back is slightly uphill most of the way.

RED/YELLOW to YELLOW, to Ghost Lake Trail (Turquoise) then retraced the route back to the lot.

Opted for a small park today due to forecasted afternoon thunderstorms, which of course never came. Nice weather but it was foggy and overcast so the viewpoints weren’t the best, and the mosquitoes and gnats were relentless even with using bug spray, which has happened before at this park. Saw a cute little water snake at Ghost Lake.

Location:Hope, NJ – Warren County

Parking: Rt 80 to exit 12 (Hope/Blairstown). Rt 521 S. Turn left onto 519 at the blinking light. Take the third road on the right, Shiloh Road. Turn right in about a mile onto State Park Road. Park entrance is less than a mile on the left. There are several brown and white park signs marking the way.

Restrooms: comfort station in the parking lot.
